Everyday Rejuvenation: Rituals for Busy Times

  • The Center SF 548 Fillmore Street San Francisco, CA, 94117 United States (map)

Many of us are well aware of the importance of self-care, but in our fast-paced world, self-care often becomes yet another thing on our to-do list. With full inboxes and busy social lives, taking time to create meaningful rituals for oneself can feel like something for another day or time. Yet, Ayurvedic wisdom shows us that ritual is what transforms the mundane to the sacred, enriching and enlivening even the smallest action. Join me at The Center SF to explore an Ayurvedic approach to self-care as ritual. From morning routines to desire seeding to unwinding from the day, learn different ways to infuse meaning into daily actions and leave with your very own self-care ritual.

Together we will explore…

- Ayurvedic approach to rejuvenation (rasayana)
- Self-care practices & their physiological benefits
- Difference between routines and rituals
- How to create our own dinacharya (daily ritual)

- A favorite journal
- Colored pencils, pens, markers
- An open mind

I will be serving Elemental Alchemy tea to aid in relaxation and ritual.

“A ritual is the enactment of a myth. And, by participating in the ritual, you are participating in the myth. And since myth is a projection of the depth wisdom of the psyche, by participating in a ritual, participating in the myth, you are being, as it were, put in accord with that wisdom, which is the wisdom that is inherent within you anyhow. Your consciousness is being reminded of the wisdom of your own life.” - Joseph Campbell
